Elevation Certificate
An Elevation
certificate is a form that determines a parcel's
relationship to the flood zone.
In order to determine your parcel's relationship to a
base flood elevation a qualified professional must
determine elevations at various points at the site.
Elevations are then recorded on an elevation certificate
and certified by the qualifying professional.
You may need an elevation certificate:
● To obtain
flood insurance
● To discontinue flood insurance if you are not in a
flood zone.
● If required by your lender or building
department personnel.
